V. introduce new product categories, including jewelry, eyewear, fragrance and home furnishings, while continuing to offer a wide assortment of handbags, shoes, small leather goods, articles for home and giftware. In the summer of 2006, in recognition of excellence in craftsmanship due to the decrease in the number of master of Italian leather goods, Bottega Veneta opened the School of Leather, to train and support future generations of leather craftsmen.
