Fake Coach bags are a little difficult to spot, but here are some tips based on my personal experiences and observations:

The C brand logo should start at the center of the bag and go out. The middle seem should go straight through the middle of the C. The “C” pattern will be cut will be cut off on fake handbags. Sometimes the "CC" will actually be a "GG"

Patchwork bags are the same on each side, the patches are always places in the same place on the front & back.

Replica coach handbags may not have the coach logo stamped on the metal fixtures. Authentic coach handbags will have the coach logo stamped on the majority of buttons.

Ask the seller about the item information located inside the purse.The leather piece inside contains the Coach story and a series of numbers/letters. If the bag states "Made in New York City" the bag is not real. Coach has not bags in New York City since the beginning. If anything it will say Made in the United States.

Lining: If the outside of the bag has the CC pattern, the lining will NOT have any pattern. If the outside of the bag does NOT have the CC pattern, the lining will most likely have the CC pattern (although sometimes neither the outside nor the inside will have the CC pattern). You will NEVER see a bag with the CC pattern on the outside AND the inside - this is a sure sign of a fake bag.

Check for a dustbag. Resellers may not always sell a purse with a dustbag, but if they do it should always be tan or brown with red stitching, with the Coach logo stamped on it.

Zippers: Although the zipper pull on a real COACH bag tends to be made of leather or a series of rings, the actual zipper mechanism which pulls the two sides of the zipper together should be embossed with the letters "YKK". This is the highest-quality manufacturer of zippers and COACH uses this brand.

If a bag does not look like the ones you know, then you can compare it with the photos which are published on the Coach website, as they have there all their collections, with a lot of photos for every handbag. If you cannot find a match, you should question its authenticity.
